What the one-click appliances include
Each appliance except AppXen Platform includes automatic HTTPS via Caddy + Let's Encrypt, UFW firewall, unattended security updates, and a hardened Ubuntu 24.04 base. You pay EC2 separately and keep full control of the instance.
AppXen Platform is built on the same hardened Ubuntu 24.04 base. It starts with a self-signed certificate until you give it a domain, and its CloudFormation stack also creates DynamoDB tables, S3 buckets and an SQS queue in your account, which AWS bills to you.
